We are registered under Shine Trust
Children come to the Shine Centre for a minimum of one year and a maximum of two. It costs R120 a month to keep a child on the Shine programme.
Your donation will help us provide the following
Individual assessments for all Grade 1 children
A two year placement in the Shine Centre programme for every child deemed "at risk"
A result-driven, proven reading intervention programme twice a week for Grade Two and Three children
Intensive volunteer training
Parent workshops for all Grade One and Two parents
Teacher support
Grade One and Two class book clubs
An informal library to encourage leisure reading at home.
